Rounding Rules

 

Rounding determines how punches will be calculated. Rounding adjusts a punch to an even increment of time. With rounding there must be a setting that triggers the punch to adjust forward or backward, this is the break point.

PayClock Online has several different rounding rules. The Enterprise version of PayClock Online allows the user to add additional rounding rules.

Rounding Unit = 15 minutes, Break Point = 7 minutes

An employee punches at 8:08 AM. Since 8 minutes is after the 7 minute break point, the punch will round to 8:15 AM.

An employee punches at 8:06 AM. Since 6 minutes is before the 7 minute break point, the punch will round to 8:00 AM.

An employee punches at 8:07 AM. Since 7 minutes is at the 7 minute break point, the punch will round to 8:15 AM.
